The Fall of Man, Beginning With Eve.
Many biblical scholars have addressed the fall of man through Eve. I have notions of my own as to why Eve was markedly more vulnerable than Adam but/and they are VERY radical. I will blog here an observation demonstrating the Original Guile of Satan as demonstrated in the serpent and the staged approach he took to affecting Eve's curse. First note here... 1Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? It has been noted that the Serpent was showing guile here by extending the fence around the forbidden, but in all honesty this could have been interpreted as a question in the Socratic tradition, something meant to test a students dependence on repitition. I have seen Catholic parents use this technique with their children VERY EARLY on. But it must come after the initial CORRECT response has been proffered by the student, so the tempter is still on the hook here. In fact Eve starts off strong, but I think she gives into a bit of sarcasm with her response. 2And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: 3But of the fruit of the tree which [is] in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. Hey mother fucker, I smell your game, right back atcha. BUT YOU ARE NOT TO DO THIS WITH THE ACCUSER. Read from Revelation, 18For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book:
It is at this point that Eve is hooked. To mock the accuser by mocking the instructions of God is to elevate oneself above mere man, purported preroggatives of the Darrow notwithstanding. The rest of the account has been VERY well investigated.
